The aim of Pilates is to optimise musculoskeletal performance, ie. strength, flexibility and endurance, without risking injury or building muscle bulk. With a focus on core stability, including pelvic and shoulder girdle stabilization, neutral alignment and breathing,

Pilates also helps to restore the natural curves of the spine, relieve tension, and enhance self confidence.

 

APPI Pilates is only taught by Chartered Physiotherapists. 

STOTT Pilates exercise builds on the essence and principles of the late Joseph H Pilates' work by incorporating modern knowledge about the

body.The result is a balanced and aligned body that looks fit, feels revitalized and moves with ease. These are important goals for anyone, whether you are a rehab patient or an elite athlete.

Both STOTT and APPI Pilates are taught at Lake District Physiotherapy Clinic by Chartered Physiotherapists with over 10 years experience.

Sinead is a Certified Yoga Alliance Teacher and Yin Yoga Teacher. Her main yoga practice is Vinyasa Flow. Both Vinyasa and Yin Yoga Classes are taught at Lake District Physiotherapy Clinic.
